Red blister on child's arm

My son has had a blister on his arm since mid-December and it's showing no signs of going away. It appeared at the same time as a scarlet fever rash, which disappeared after a course of antibiotics. I contacted my GP a few weeks ago and sent a photo. I had a phone call with the GP, who said it looked like a normal blister caused by damage to the skin and that it won't have been connected to the scarlet fever, but to get in touch in a few weeks if it was still there. I'm going to phone the GP again tomorrow, but wondered if anyone else had any idea what it might be?

My son woke up this morning with Pin prick blood blisters on his arm & the top of his hand.
i wasn’t sure if it was from him laying on his arm in the night or if his sleep bag was too tight?
Fine in himself & no spots anywhere else
anyone seen this before?

@lucybulmer24 that looks to be a petechial rash (a non-blanching rash) - does it disappear if you hold a clear glass on it? How is he in himself? With petechial rashes, I would just give your GP a call and see what they say.

yes it does disappear. He also seems fine in himself which is why i find it so odd where it has come from & i’ve never seen this on him before.
i will give the GP a ring just to be sure.

@lucybulmer24 my DC get these from time to time - sometimes it can be from an item of clothing rubbing on the skin, for example. Always best to get it checked in a little one.
