Anyone else’s baby have a firm, raised soft spot after bumping their head?

My baby hit his head a week ago. On his soft spot

24 hours later he developed a firm slightly raised soft spot

we were sent home from hospital and drs said as long as he isn’t showing any symptoms he’s fine.

anybody else experienced this?

No experience but I’d be concerned if it was still raised after a week. Have you been back to a medical professional? How old is the baby? Would it be obvious if there were any changes? (Is he sitting up/ crawling)

@Fam23 he can sit by himself most of the time but sometimes he’s wobbly. He can stand with support too and none of this has changed ever since he bumped his head.

hes 7 months old.

I haven’t been back no because they only told me to go back if he had symptoms of head injury which he doesn’t. He just seems like his normal self to me

if you look up online causes for a bulging soft spot it says head trauma, and if you click on that it has concussion listed so I just assumed it was due to head trauma

My daughter banged her head 3 weeks ago and still has a little firm bump where her goose egg was. And a visible dent when she frowns. Hopefully it just takes time to heal
