11 month old temperature

My 11 month old felt warm last night and temp was 37.3. I gave her calpol just to be safe as she also sounded stuffy. This morning she's up full of beans, ate all her breakfast and seems totally fine but I took it to be sure as I always do the next day. Its 38. I've gave her calpol again. Am I right in saying in 2 hours if its not down I can give nurofen? When do you contact the doctors if it stays high?

Some of this might sound silly but she's never really had a temperature so I'm not 100% sure. TIA

37.3 really isn’t classed as a temperature.

I would only give calpol if she seems unsettled rather than aiming to get a temperature down. If she’s having wet nappies and drinking then I wouldn’t worry too much. You can give four doses of calpol in 24 hours and 3 doses of nurofen, so every 8 hours. But if she’s happy in herself then I would just leave her be.
