Hi all

Just seeing if anyone else’s child has ever failed their reception class eye screening check?
What was the outcome if so.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi! Yes, DS did. Was referred to local hospital. We ( and his teachers ) had NO suspicions that he needed glasses. I was sure it was a wrong referral. He did need glasses and his perception is actually really quite strong. He is currently have his weaker eye patched two hours a day, too. This being said, I read countless threads where the child had been referred but didn't actually need glasses!

Yes, DS was patched for two years but it corrected and he now has both eyes operating more or less equally.

I hadn't even noticed the squint. I felt awful.

DS did. Took him to the opticians and they said he was fine.
