Anyone else’s young children keep getting sick?

Im truly at my wits end here, my 4 year old is constantly picking up viruses from nursery, she was really ill with the flu around November, took around 3 weeks to recover, then picked up another virus when she went back in December…so was unfortunately unwell over Xmas. I know it’s common for kids to pick up bugs, but every time she picks something up the rest of the family including myself get unwell too, it almost makes me not want to send her back 😩 Is anyone else having the same issues?

Yep same, it's much worse this year due to the wake of Covid.

My child is older but I felt edgy about sending back to school for this reason. I can't cope with work and sick kids and sick myself !

Yes this is happening with my son too.
Since November he’s had 2 stomach bugs and about 4/5 viruses. It’s feels as though he’s only well for a maximum of 2 weeks before he’s got something else 🤦🏼‍♀️. Covid is the culprit for keeping everyone inside/ masked for the past couple of years 👎🏼. I hope your DD is on the mend soon.

There is a lot of flu around this year, it’s the worst winter we’ve had that I can remember (nurse here), for viruses. Keep washing hands as much as you can.
