Carobel making my 8 week old bloated

Hi
my 8 week old started carobel on Tuesday, since then I’ve noticed his tummy is really hard and he had done 4 diarrhoea like poos today. He was already a gassy baby but he seems even more gassy. Has anybody else found this with carobel? I have been adding 1 scoop to 5oz of formula, so I am going to try just 1/2 scoop to 5oz before I go back to the doctors. Just curious if I should hold out on it or go back to drs and try for something else

Hi, I was just wondering what you decided to do as it’s been a little while since you posted.

i have a cranky 9 week old, who has reflux. Started off EBF but after seeing him suffer with all the classic reflux symptoms (screaming, vomiting, arching back and constantly wanting to feed but then pushing me away, hiccups, spluttering, coughing) we decided to mix feed and then only formula.

He’s slightly better on formula but still doesn’t seem to be settling. We moved from only Aptimal to adding gaviscon, that led to constipation and grumpiness again, then tried C&G anti reflux, found it too thick and he’d fall asleep after eating just two ounces (using mam bottles size 2 teats). Then we started Hipp anti reflux which he seemed to get on with, his symptoms eased but over the last week he started retching after tasting it and then completely refused it. Yesterday we introduced C&G first stage with gaviscon. I know it’s only been a day but he’s fussy again and all the symptoms are back.

im at my wits end. Thinking about trying carobel now, will discuss at his 8 weeks review on Friday but any advice?

We used carobel and it was great for a week.
He ended up on meds.
