Hello.
I have two children one is 9 and the other 5 months.
We live in a 1st floor flat and my downstairs neighbour smokes a lot of weed ( we can't open baby's bedroom, kitchen or bathroom window as it comes in)
Neighbour is constantly banging at around 10pm ( sounds like hammering or something like that)
My daughter is waking up every night crying and scared and now I'm at breaking point and don't know what to do I'm in a council property shall I call them?
But I don't expect there's much they can do.
We have mentioned to the neighbour that banding that late during the week isn't good as my daughter wakes up but she still does it.
What can I do.
Sorry for the long post.
Thank you

Hi OP, I would move this to the general Chat section as you may get more answers there. But, yes, I would speak with the council and report it. Can you keep a diary of the issues you have (even film the noise, for instance) as that may help back up your claims.

I am 2 years into reporting things to the housing association. Nothings changed. 2 tenancy warnings, evidence, even assaulted on my doorstep.

please contact your MP, don’t suffer like I did. When I contacted MP and produced all the evidence over past 2 years, I got somewhere . X

Seems like your neighbour doesn’t give a shit. I doubt the council will do much. Any chance of a move/swap?

Yes, please do contact your council's housing department. Involve your local councillor or MP as well if you have to. You and your children shouldn't have to deal with this, or the prospect of dealers turning up.

Tenancies vary, but mine is a Housing Association tenancy and it's in my agreement/contract that drug issues can lead to eviction.

Best wishes to you. x

It's all a bit give and take I am sure your baby is disturbing a.d waking him up too. Modern houses have shit sound insulation

Could you speak to him and explain?
