newborn rash

7 week old come out in a rash that i don’t think is baby acne? she did have baby acne but it cleared, anyone know what this could be? see pictures below x

Any mucus in poos ? Reflux ? Lots of Hiccups sneezes etc? Congestion?

sometimes poos are yellow but sometimes green and mucus present, she is very sicky and does get hiccups and sneeze frequently, however doesn’t sound congested

It does sound like cmpa. Get an app for tomorrow if you can? Baby will be fine but may need to trial a special formula. My baby was so miserable on normal formula but is so much happier now !! Not all babies agree with the first type of formula the doctors usually trial though and have to go onto a completely dairy free one

My baby's rash went within two days of starting the new formula, congestion went away a couple of weeks later.

i will take her in tomorrow and show them, i’ve heard a lot of doctors try fob off cmpa as something really rare however so i hope they listen, that’s interesting, do they give formula on prescription? i haven’t seen any cmpa formula in the supermarkets

The gp who diagnosed my baby was great, spotted it straight away, she said the rash, mucus and reflux was enough to diagnose it.
Yeah it's on prescription

been to the doctors, the rash got worse and she said she’s confident it’s CMPA and prescribed a special milk, SMA althera i think it’s called

@beth19xo I'm glad the doctor was in agreement with you too, some can be abit awkward about it especially if they're not losing weight.

See how she goes on this one, hopefully it'll alleviate her symptoms

Just bare in mind this one may not totally help and she may need to be moved onto a completely dairy free one. We have so far managed to avoid that, which I'm glad about as apparently they're minging!!

yeah she did say that, although she said this sma althera is really badly smelling and grainy too!
