So last night my 3 year old was up all night with an itchy bottom. I couldn’t really see much. Eventually he got in our bed and was still wiggling around itching/scratching.
This morning I had a proper look and got him to bend over. I could see on one side of his anus there were a few raised white dots. Very clear as day. Cue feeling sick and major anxiety.
I popped a splodge of metanium there and he went on his way.
Here is why I feel sick and anxious. I’m 36, happily married with 2 children and have had genital herpes since I was 17. It doesn’t effect me day to day at all. But I have always been so anxious when it comes to my children. I also have OCD and health anxiety which really doesn’t help with things like this.
As blunt and harsh as it sounds I’ve been told my many health professionals that unless anything inappropriate is happening, then you cannot pass it on to your children.
So what on earth is it? All I can think of is the worst case scenario. He seems ok today, the itching is not bothering him but there is definitely about 5 or 6 prominent spots on one side of his anus.
