Toddler doing odd eye rolling thing

Hi all my DD is approaching 2yrs old and for a few months now has been doing this odd eye rolling thing, and scrunching her face up. It is as if she is overly sensitive to certain lights and is trying to roll her eyes back to avoid light.

Usually does it 2/3 times a day

Has anyone else experienced this? She is in good health generally hence I have not yet taken her to the Doctors as part of me thinks it might be just her exploring expressions etc.

But it just seems a little odd....

Hi OP,

My DS used to do odd eye-rolls a couple of years ago, when he was about 5/6. It was an involuntary tic but has grown out of it now. It could be something like that, but I would definitely have a chat with the doctor, just in case there's something else at play.

I should also add that temporary tics are apparently very common in young kids and in the vast majority of cases nothing to worry about!

Video it so you can show your gp.

I think videoing it is a good shout. Does she seem 'out of it' when she's doing it? Even for a few seconds?

Doesn't seem out of it but I'll get it checked out with the Docs thanks
