5 year old diagnosed with adenoids. Wondering if anyone has gone ahead with the surgery and how did it help ? How was the recovery? I am just wondering if it’s possible they’ll go away on its own ? Pros and cons ? Also I am just wondering if his head shape looks normal in the Xray ?

My LO had enlarged adenoids that were constantly infected and caused sleep apnea etc which were lasered off at 2 years. Quick operation - probably 20 mins or so, slept for a couple of hours, then woke up and ate a sandwich and home same day. Fever for approx 24 hours, he was fine, I didn’t need to but kept him off nursery for around 10 days incase his immune system was low, just wanted to ensure he was fit and healthy before sending him back into the germ pit-was a complete game changer and we all slept better.
