Congestion in 7 year old

DS has got this nasty bug going round. 4 weeks in. A course of antibiotics and he still can't breathe through his nose. Lots of green gunk coming out over the last couple of days but he is still totally blocked up and miserable. He's worried he won't be able to sleep when Santa comes!

Tried:
Propping up with pillows at night
Olbas oil
Vicks rub on chest and back
Steamy showers
Benylin day and night
Drinks
Trying to blow gently out of each nostril
Vitamins

His brother has started coughing tonight. It's relentless. How can I relieve his congestion? He can't blow his nose properly yet and won't spray anything up it .

Vicks on the bottom of the feet - with socks on overnite. Smother the bottom of his feet in it.
Cool mist humidifier.

There seems to be SO much of this about at the moment including with myself and my youngest DS. Cold like symptoms with a constant cough - my DS has been coughing and gagging constantly the last 3 days, nose streaming. Mine has only just started today though blocked nose and tickly annoying cough! Absolutely fine in ourselves otherwise though.
If the abx to you doesn't seem like it's helped / cleared it then it's most likely viral? Which I'm assuming is what ours is.
I've tried everything you've mentioned plus the two I listed there, which do help a little.. and we've also tried a spoonful of honey each day mainly for the throat / cough side of things. Draining isn't it. 😓

I've got a chesty cough and so has his brother. It must be viral as anti-b's haven't done much. I know so many people who've had this. He can't blow his nose properly yet which makes it harder for him so the phlegm is just going round and round. Any tips on that would be gratefully appreciated!
