Hi all

3yo DD is very poorly Atm. Awful uti with fever etc. we were in a&e yesterday and got back this morning at 4am.

DD is still asleep. She usually wakes at 6-6:30. I'm starting to get worried. But she looks well and In a deep sleep.

Should I wake her? To offer a drink? Or is it best to leave her?

Please any advice would be appreciated.

If you got back at 4am I would definitely leave her. She needs rest if she's ill.

Needcoffeeimmediatley · 20/12/2022 10:09

I would leave her to sleep, she's probably just exhausted.

Did they give her antibiotics? Does she still have a temperature?

If it was me I would wake her up if she’s due her next antibiotics and give her a drink.

SalviaOfficinalis · 20/12/2022 10:10

And then see if she’ll go back to sleep later

grievinggirlneedsadvice · 20/12/2022 10:11

Poor girl, if you got in at 4am she'll have only had 6 hours sleep max by now.
If she looks peaceful I would leave her for another hour or so.
Maybe see what her temp is if you can?

helppleaseee · 20/12/2022 10:11

Let her sleep, if she isn't well her body will need it, especially if you only got home at 4am

Thanks all.
I'll leave her to sleep then.
She was given antibiotics but not due for another hour or so.
Just touched her and skin feels normal temp. Will keep checking on her every 10 mins

Sleep really helps little ones when they're poorly. I hope she's on the mend soon!
