Itchy Willy?!?!

Hi awkward topic lol
My 2 year 8 month old son is still in nappies. And the last few days he is itching his nappy where his Willy is really often.
I keep asking if it hurts, and he says no.

Last night he was throwing himself around in discomfort, and the only thing that calmed him down was rubbing his back (where his kidneys would be), so I wondered maybe a urine infection.

He was poorly last week, but healthy now other than a cough.

Any tips on how to stop the itching? Or is it a GP thing for antibiotics?
Thank you

Might be worth testing his urine just to check for infection, also another thing, completely random I know but is his bum itchy? Just thinking worms. The only other thing I can think of.. Give his nappies a check after a poo and it'll soon become obvious if it is or isn't. Other than that, and I have 3 boys.. I don't know xx

Better to be safe than sorry, especially if it's ongoing! Hope whatever it is, is nothing sinister and easily sorted xx

Sounds like threadworms to me, they can make children really distressed. Worth treating him with a dose of Ovex just in case.
