Tonsillitis help

Sorry of this sounds mad but my health anxiety is through the roof at the moment
My dd8 has tonsillitis she was seen by the doctor Friday, gave antibiotics and she is much better in herself temp Normal again,
I've just looked at her tonsils there again this morning and they look manky
I'm just worried about if it's quincy now, because they look so wrong
The doc had mentioned when we saw her just to look out for it, and now she seems to be getting better I'm focused on this
Anyone any advice
Thanks so much

You have said yourself that she is better in herself, fever has stopped.
Signs of quinsy are worsening pain to one side of the mouth, difficulty swallowing food, fluids, saliva, struggling to open your mouth, voice changes, feeling generally unwell. It's only Sunday and started antibiotics on Friday and she's already improving in herself

I know she's getting better but I've read that quincy can come on really fast after tonsillitis so I have it in my head now that's what's going to happen, her tonsils just look so bad, she didn't even complain of a painful throat when I brought her to the doc it was the temperature that made me bring her, she only had a few small white spots then
I'm over thinking I know 🙈

Yeah I think you're over thinking and panicking. Tonsils can look horrible in general. I imagine with only just getting over it they're not going to look in the best state! You said she seems better and well in herself so don't stress yourself. X

As someone who has seen quinsy a few times, you would know if one was happening. The fact that she is improving is very reassuring.

I'm always like this when the kids get sick, always panicking and thinking the worst!
She is saying her nose hurts now so i think that her adenoids?
Thanks so much for the replies about this,
Have no one else to tell my worries to,
