7 year old girl leaking?

Sorry if tmi, but not sure if I'm missing something obvious.

Our 7 year old daughter has suddenly said she can feel small and regular leaks (from the front) during the day. Seems to be clear and she is assuming it's urine. Her pants are wet, but not a huge amount. She has been toilet trained since 2 and never had any issues/accidents, so this is really strange for her! I'm wondering if it could be UTI or vaginal discharge starting?

Any experience of this?

Is it the exceptional cold perhaps?

Could be a UTI. I had this once with a UTI. Happened for a few weeks then I got a huge temperature and it all cleared up. Give her plenty of fluids and monitor. Obviously if it worsens, phone GP.

Is she going to the loo regularly?

I would get her urine checked for a UTI. If the issue doesn't resolve, the GP may want to refer her.

There are some things that your daughter could do that might help - look up double voiding (basically do a wee, stand up and do a dance and then try again - to make sure the bladder is completely empty). Also, if she tries sitting on the toilet facing the cistern when she does a wee it can be a better angle - otherwise sometimes wee can end up in the vagina and leak out slowly.

UTI seems most likely explanation so worth getting checked
