Cold sore contagion?

Probably being a bit over-worried here, but:

I have a cold sore on my mouth. I thought it was a mouth ulcer early this morning because it is in a spot I don't usually get them, close to the gum, so I didn't think anything of letting my 2yo eat out of my bowl this morning. She may have even grabbed my spoon and used it at one point when I wasn't looking, but I'm not sure. Only realised later that it was herpes.

Now rather worried I could have given it to her, although I think I remember hearing that it mainly transmits by kisses etc? (We're not a kissing-on-the-mouth family so we're ok in that respect).

Has anyone had similar situations and can let me know how they went? Or any herpes virologists on here? 😅
