My sons been unwell for a few days full of a cold etc, I took him to the doctors about 4 days ago and he said it will disappear on its own, but he's so tired constantly he's sleeping during the day every day witch is so unlike him, he dropped naps at 1.5 years old and he's now 3.5, he's in pain while opening his Bowles and has said a few times about a sore tummy, he's on and off feverish with a nasty cough, I called 111 last night and was told I'd receive a call back but I've heard nothing since, my main concern is the how tired he is.. he slept for almost 48 hours straight the past few days and has just dropped off again now.

What's his temperature like?

Look, no-one here can tell you what to do, or what's wrong with him. But trust your gut. Strep A is doing the rounds, as are lots of viruses. If you need to see a doctor, see a doctor. Trust your instinct. If you go to A&E it's likely to be a long wait, so go prepared with activities, food and drink and a charger.

Hope he's better soon.

His temperature is up and down sometimes he feels hot sometimes he feels cool, he was checked for scarlet fever in the doctors a few days ago, no rash present thankfully. My concern is not how ill he is I'm managing the cough etc at home I'm concerned about how sleepy he suddenly is.

If you are worried about the lethargy I would take him to be seen.

How is he?
If he's unusually lethargic then he needs to be seen.
