Mri follow up appointment if everything ok?

Dd12 had mri a few weeks ago due to feeling dizzy (not a new symptom but gone on a while)

She was referred by ENT they did say to possibly look for signs of tinitus as she has some ear ringing.
and have just received a text saying she has an appointment a week on sat for ent follow up to discuss scan results.

I do have health anxiety so possibly overreacting

But would they send this if everything was fine? Wouldn't they just send a letter to say that?

She doesn't have balance issues (other than when she gets dizzy from standing up etc)

She's had her iron checked etc slightly low on iron but not anaemic

I'm sure I remember getting the same dizziness at standing up etc when my blood pressure briefly drops when I was a teen

@TunaSpaghettiSub have you managed to sort anything?

TunaSpaghettiSub · 12/12/2022 15:02

No I'm just waiting till the appointment and getting to reassure myself that the dizziness has got d slightly better rather than gradually worse so hoping that counts against anything sinister

Few weeks ago she had it? If they'd spotted something bad then they'd have had her back within a few days.

Ds had a brain mri with follow-up about 2 months away. Then within a week we got a letter saying "due to unforeseen circumstances we've had to change your appointment to next week."
I was just a little bit panicked. But we had an ENT appointment the next day and when the doctor asked if all other health things were fine I mentioned this. I took ds off for his hearing check and when I came back the doctor told me that she'd phoned the specialist we were down to see for the MRI and they'd said they could tell me that there was absolutely nothing wrong that they could see-she'd just had to book annual leave when the first appointment was.

Possibly strictly speaking that wasn't correct protocol, however it saved me a week of sleepless nights.
Hopefully your changed appointment will be similar.

Thank you that's reassuring! I can imagine you panicked
