Does this look like Crainosynotosis?? Help!

Hi, I am just looking for some advice. My Health visitor feels the back of my babies head is a strange shape and may be Craino. I have noticed it a little since birth. However he had been to see a consultant for other issues with he was born and he noticed his head but didn’t seem concerned? I have now been referred back to peads to check it over. Baby is now 4months.

Has anyone any experience with this?
I am so worried but equally don’t know if I am overreacting!

His head seems to bulge out at the back but from the front he looks perfect.

could it be a slight flattening of the head from sleeping on his back? Side photo looks perfect.

Thats another thing, he never lies on the back of his head only on the sides xx

If you have a Facebook account, maybe join the Noggin Doctor's Plagiocephaly and Torticollis Discussion Board. I know the title sounds like it wouldn't be relevant, but it is run by a Craniofacial Paediatric plastic surgeon who specialises in craniosynostosis. You will have to provide different views, particularly a top down image, but he will be able to set your mind at rest, or recommend further investigation if applicable.

These are not the right views for assessing craniosynostosis. If I were you, I would ask to join the Noggin Doctor's Plagiocephaly and Torticollis Discussion Board on Facebook. The craniofacial paediatric plastic surgeon who runs it is a specialist in craniosynostosis.

Oops. Sorry. Browser fail, and I thought it hadn't posted. Didn't mean to do it twice!

Hi
Just wondering how your little ones head shape turned out, and if treatment or anything was needed.
My son has a similar shaped head. I think from always sleeping on his sides.
Thank you

Join the Facebook group linked above - I’m not OP but had concerns about my baby and the amazing surgeon on there provided advice and reassurance that all was okay. FWIW I would be very surprised if OP’s baby had CS.
