Hi. Can anyone advise please?
my little girls eye is red with a little dry sleep, no discharge at all. Doesn’t seem to be bothering her at all (thank goodness)
she woke up with it yesterday morning (Saturday 3rd) and it was worse.
aside from washing it carefully with warm water, is there anything else I can do?
could it be conjunctivitis?
thank you in advance. x

I would phone 111 & get that seen tbh.

My DD has very similar a month or so ago.

I managed to get a same day GP appointment for her by phoning first thing and they prescribed an antibiotic ointment that we rubbed on it a few times a day for 5 days and it cleared up 😌

It could be cellulitis so needs to be checked.

Thank you all. We called 111 last night and they advised leaving the eye, just taking pictures to compare until we can call a doctor if it gets worse.
Will call first thing in the morning. She’s not long started nursery and it feels like it’s been one illness after the other!

Is it worse than it was eh. You phoned last night? If so I would phone to see if you can see someone today

Fireweeds · 04/12/2022 16:23

When. Worse than when you phoned…
