Strep A - no rash?

DC has been asked to go to A&E. Is there now but now worse than their usual fidgety self (lack of sleep and fever hysteria not helping) but still has all the symptoms minus the rash. Could it still be Strep A with no rash?

Has anyone ever experienced this?

My DD had strep throat without a rash.

From experience, it doesn't always present with a rash.
DC is in the best place, and with all the to do on S.A at the moment, I'd like to think that they would be thorough in a diagnosis of that too x

Thank you. She's been seen and it's apparently viral due to no white spots (no test done) but now does have bright red cheeks even when temp is back to normal. She's being kept on light clothing but it looks like she's been hit in the face so I wonder if it isn't strep, whether it could be slapped cheek instead.

Keep a close eye and any sudden change in regards to spots or anything don't hesitate to get her seen again.
I hope she feels better soon. Could be slapped cheek. There is SO much about - it's hard to keep up and very worrying as a parent!! X

My 6 dd was diagnosed with Scarlet fever but no rash. I'm not normally one to rush to the GP but by day 5 I couldn't manage her temperature and she was still poorly. Tbh I wish I had gone sooner. Antibiotics and she is getting better but it's been over a week.
