Hand, foot & mouth ! Please read.

DD7 has had it 8 days now, first 3 days temp high itching like her skin was on fire 🥺 then the spots came out, took her to the doctor said defo said HFM. Had lots of cream for skin etc off food but still drinking has lots of energy spots have completed scabbed over so dd went to school yesterday as they said no exclusion period!
But she's still so full up completely blocked nose, but runny and awful awful barking cough! She's coughing up tiny bits of yellow mucus too and it's green coming from her nose too!
Temp came down ages ago!
Nhs website says 7-10 days but surely rhe congestion and cold symptoms would have subsided by now?!
We are day 8 and I know it said 10 days but she's so miserable bless! Not sure if antibiotics would do anything as it's viral!
Any advice would help me a lot thanks 🙏🏻

who told you I wasn't going to ? Just asking for person experience or remedies

Totally normal for HFM, my DD is the same. Pharmacist yesterday said it just has to run its course.

I wouldn't have sent her to school yesterday.

my advice is lots of rest & fluids over the weekend, then speak to the GOon Monday if she's no better, but keep her off school because she needs the rest to get better (not because of being contagious).

if she gets ANY worse, ring for advice/help.

Got a bit of a hoarse voice and a little cough but I think that will stay around a bit longer and run it's course x
