Impetigo

My 3 year old has been diagnosed with impetigo today, as my mum took her to the GP I didn't get chance to ask questions I have

She's been prescribed antibiotics for a week, I know to not share towels with her, wash flannels and towels she uses, wash bedding daily etc

But my question is can I do anything to her face? It's very dry so I'm reluctant to gently wash it, however I'd like to keep it clean, it's very dry and itchy and sore, is there any cream I should put on it? Or is it best to leave it and let thr antibiotics do their job?

Thankyou :)

Is she well in herself? I would keep an eye given that scarlet fever is making news for the number and severity of cases.

Yeah she's fine within herself, is eating, drinking, playing, no temperature, is just saying her chin hurts, but I will keep an eye out for that thankyou
