Lingering cough, playschool or home?

4yo dd had a cold/virus just over a week ago. She still has a cough but is otherwise fine. She was home all last week.

Do I keep her home until the cough has gone? They sent her home last time she had a cough after a cold.

I don't want to be that parent who sends an ill in but also I know she's fine apart from the cough! Wwyd?

If I kept my son off nursery with a cough he would never be there! If she’s ok in herself with no temp then 100% send her!

Same as PP above. If I kept mine off everyone they all had a cough they'd never be in! Unless she has a temp and generally looks unwell or feels unwell then send her in! X

I'd send her in. My DC have both been ill recently and they're still coughing occasionally although they feel much better. If I kept them off until their coughs were entirely gone, they'd be off for a couple of weeks

Send her in. Coughs can linger for weeks.

Thanks everyone. She'll be there tomorrow!
