Flu spray

My DS had his flu spray on Tuesday morning. He's 2.5years old. On Wed evening he got a temperature and has been off his food. Not completely but not himself at all. He still is poorly today. Is this normal fir the flu spray? I was told he could get a temp but didn't think it would last this long or be this high (39) . He's just miserable 😔

Temp and being off food for a couple of days is normal, this does seem a bit long though, have you been giving calpol?

it can take a couple of weeks for immunity to kick in so he could still get ill between now & then, he could also have just picked something else up from anywhere, including a germy surgery.

Hiya thanks for the reply. Yes I've been giving calpol. Just hate seeing him like this. It's also exhausting as he's not sleeping well at night but lethargic in the day 😴

He must have picked something up. Poor little guy only recently got over tonsillitis. ( which was all clear by the time he had the spray)
