Sudden bladder leakage

Hi all - my 11 year old dd has come home tonight in tears. She said since Monday she has been experiencing bladder leaks. She said its happening when she stands up and doesn't feel like she has any control to stop it. It happened twice this evening at home and she has been to the toilet several times. I have sent her to bed with a sanitary towel on and will get on the phone to the docs in the morn but I'm really worried, anyone have any experience of this? She says no pain/burning when using the loo and shes not holding.

It'll be a uti. Call the gp who will need a sample from her.

Agree.. possibly a UTI. I don't necessarily get pain with a UTI at all.. until it hits my kidneys!!
Doing the right thing in getting her seen by a GP x

UTI is my first thought.

Not to argue with seeing the doctor - your daughter seems tremendously capable of describing what is happening - well done. But I had something similar at that age, and it was a response to a bunch of girls at school making my life grim. It may not be a UTI.

Sounds like a UTI to me hopefully she’s okay
