Fatty liver

Ok so my ds has had problems for about a year with bad tummy cramps that nothing has settled it and can't seem find out what would flare it up. We have kept activity log and food dairy as asked by our gp. He had a scan 6 months ago and they said there is what looks like fatty tissue on his liver. Back at hospital today for appointment and they want to rescan him and see if it has went away or not as they are a little confused why he has a fatty liver as he is active has a really good diet and is perfect weight for his age. My question is has anyone been through anything similar that can offer and calming advice

Sorry, have no advice or experience unfortunately.. just wanted to bump this for you and wish him well for his next scan and I hope it's nothing sinister. Xx

Not fatty liver, but my DS was diagnosed with granuloma on liver after tummy pains.. regular scans show they're not growing/ causing concern & he's more of a medical curiosity to docs than a worry as apparently kids don't usually present with this.. They are keeping a close eye on him tho - not sure if relevant for you but just to say I understand your concern. Keep pushing for monitoring & testing. Im sure it'll all be ok.

Thank you both very much. Always a worry when it's your kids they have him down as urgent and have an appointment for his scan tomorrow which was so fast x
