Hi, does anyone have any miracle cures for a snotty bunged up 10m old? He's been up most of the night as he's struggling to breathe with his dummy in, but he can't sleep at all without the dummy.

Cool mist humidifiers are really good, I use one for both my DDs when they have colds or coughs, also Calpol saline spray or drops

I use olbas oil, although at 10m might be too young. Also use a snot remover, which is as gross as it sounds but does work! Look up Snufflebabe Nasal Aspirator

Humidifier
Snuffle babe vapo rub, on baby's feet with socks. On chest and back. We use olbas oil in the room too.
Elevate the mattress slightly.
Keep the window open a crack
Plenty of fluids.

I know it sounds gross, but I swore by my 'snot sucker'. You literally suck the snot out of their nose (it doesn't go in your mouth!). Total life saver, even if baby was a bit upset when I used it.

A snot sucker?!?! Ok, off to Boots to see what they can offer.

Thanks all for the suggestions, picking up a Vicks humidifier from Argos in town too.

Agree. A nose frida nasal aspirator is brilliant and disgusting, it works way better than the one they sell in boots!
