My 15 yr old dd had horrible stomachs pains in the night which woke her. This continued annd after vomiting and 3 days of the pain we went to the Dr, who in turn admitted us to our local hospital with the view to rule out appendix. Her bloods came back negative so we were sent home with only a Dr checking her stomach for a short time, and obs all fine. The pain has not gone away, she struggles particularly if standing and walking, she is eating a bit, less than normal, has regular bowl movements and urine fine. They tested her urine on day 3 and all clear. Also she hasn’t had a temperature.
So my question is, why is the pain still there after 8 days? It’s in her upper stomach area and central and hasn’t moved . She’s never suffered anything like this, she’s generally very well and healthy. She’s not a complainer and is just trying to carry on as normal, but the pain is definitely there still….. the hospital advised that if no temperature and bloods were normal it would just pass. There’s no way she can manage to go back to school on Monday, so im at a loss.
I will book a GP appointment as soon as they open on Monday but I doubt they’ll see her very soon.
