Hi,
My daughter was admitted to hospital with an infection which turned out to be a UTI. Just as an off chance - to put any of my fears to bed - they tested for CMV and it’s come back positive. As I have a toddler at home who was in nursery during my pregnancy they are pretty certain (this will be confirmed with tests) that it is congenital.
She is asymptomatic - no calcifications in the brain, normal head circumference, birth weight, no rashes/jaundice at birth and can see/hear fine and passed her newborn hearing check.
Google has turned up some horrific things and I was wondering if anyone else who had a child who was born with asymptomatic CMV could tell me a bit about what to expect next for their development or what I should look out for.
Thanks
