Hello,

I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the correct place but looking for some advice. 2 weeks ago I had a cold and thought my LG was getting it but it didn’t develop into much. However, 2 weeks ago tomorrow she started with explosive poos and going more frequent than normal…the Wednesday of that week she then started pooing diarrhoea with orange mucus (also screaming hungry in the night which she hadn’t been doing prior) so I made a GP appointment and he said it seemed like she had picked up a bug and as she seemed happy in herself and was eating wasn’t concerned. It has now been 11 days of this…last night she woke screaming and when I sat her upright she emptied her bowels and it was almost as though it relieved her but still waking hungry again in the night. She is gaining weight but as I don’t see the diarrhoea easing at all I’m worrying she could have developed a CMPA? Is that even possible?
I’m stuck with what to do 😔if it is just normal to have diarrhoea after a bug then I will persist but I don’t want LO suffering unnecessarily.

Thank you,

Just to add she’s bottle fed; I changed her milk back in August as she was refusing Aptamil and has been enjoying Kendamil since. I’ve not changed how I make the bottles etc.

Could be a temporary lactose intolerance triggered by the tummy bug.

Maybe try colief in her milk or try a lactose free milk
