Hi all,
I am struggling. My fit, healthy, full of beans 6 year old daughter was referred to a cardiologist a few months back, as our GP thought she heard a slight heart murmur. Fast forward to last Thursday and the echo showed up a large ASD. The doctor is baffled as to how full of beans my daughter is and how healthy she has always been! The Doctor discovered a possible partial Cor Triatriatum in her left atrium which bizarrely could be the reason that she hasn't had any symptoms from the ASD.
I was in complete shock and a mess after the appt but desperately trying to be positive. The doctor said it can all be fixed!
Surgery will be needed, we have a follow up appt on the 1st November.
Just wondering if anyone else is or has been in the same boat? Needing reassurance. Thank you x
