I’m currently due a c section in 2 days time and my 19 month old has just developed a cold sore on her lip for the first time.
Myself and my husband have never suffered from cold sores so we are not experts on the subject.
Apart from the obvious (stopping my toddler from kissing her new sister when she arrives) is there anything else I should be doing to avoid contamination?
My toddler is completely fine and just a small cold sore so not worried about her but starting to panic after hearing horror stories about newborns contracting the virus
