Eczema and breastfeeding

My 6 month old has a face rash and the dr said it was hard to tell but possibly allergy related or at the worst mild eczema. I'm breastfeeding and wondered if there was anything I could change in my diet that would help clear it up such as stopping milk or sugar or (both!) just wondered if anyone had a similar situation?

Instead of changing your diet, try changing the products that might come into direct contact with your baby's skin. Try SURCARE liquid for laundry, SIMPLE or Child's Farm products on baby's skin and in the bath.

Im giving him oat baths at the moment and i do have childs farm. I have always been careful with what products come into contact with him i use alot of natural and organic he was absolutely fine up until he started solids and a different brand of facewipe on his face which i have obviously stopped. I am saying advice to do with me because I have been told sugar in breastfeeding mums diet and even dairy can make eczema worse. Just wondered for me what I could do

Considering yoiu’ve been breastfeeding him already for 6 months and he’s only just developed the rash, it’s unlikely to be your diet affecting him.
it’s more likely to be one of the solids he’s eaten, the face wipes, or just his skin being more dry from having the heating on.
