Complex partial seizures

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has any experience with their child having complex partial seizures, and what turned out to be the cause & treatment (if needed)? Our 2 year-old has had a number of them (lasting several minutes each time), so far always when mildly under the weather. He is going to have an EEG soon and I’m rather scared about it all.
Thanks so much for any help xxx

I have a child with a rare epilpsy syndrome that has caused massive brain damage and v complex needs..His is caused by a genetic flaw on the KCNT 1 gene .
we see all sorts of seizures from absence right through to tonic clonic so lots of experience of epilepsy obviously if I can help at all. It is v scary at first to.witness seizures but hopefully they will be able to identify meds that keep.them.under control. The EEG will hopefully give you some answers x
