Broken wrist?

Waiting on a call back from 111 but thought I'd ask Mumsnet

DD(3) had a door slam onto her hand yesterday evening. Was very upset and clearly painful. Has 2 cuts on her fingers.

Went to urgent care this morning and had an x ray done. She found that quite traumatic and couldn't get a particularly clear x ray. Nothing seemed broken though.

They bandaged up the cuts and sent us home.

DD has been playing, eating, drinking etc pretty normally though obviously careful of her hand.

Went to bed as normal.

Then suddenly woke up screaming in pain. Spent over an hour literally writhing around crying. That's when I phoned 111. I've given calpol and that seems to have kicked in as she's now sleeping.

When she was in pain she said she'd rolled over and it started hurting. She was rubbing, biting and scratching her wrist. She said it was both itchy and hurting.

Could she have done something more to it we didn't pick up?

It could just be very sore and inflamed. I'd probably try push fir another X-ray. I'd assume (not an expert) but if it was broken, calpol wouldn't touch the sides bless her. Hope she feels better soon x
