Resources for diabetes?

My 5yo nephew has been diagnosed with diabetes. He got ill very quickly and it was very scary. My Dbro & DSiL are reeling and feeling very overwhelmed.

Does anyone have any resources they could direct me too so I can at least do some reading so I can try to support them a bit better?

It sounds a bit trite, but are there any good Instagram pages? I found some to be really reassuring and informative when a friend was diagnosed with cancer, so thought there may be some for childhood diabetes.

Thanks

It must be a lot to take in, there are links to local support groups on the diabetes U.K. site, it might help him to meet other children?

And I'm so sorry you're all having to go through this... my DD was diagnosed at 8, now 14. I know it is completely overwhelming but please know it gets better and easier and hopefully you'll all get used to the new normal quickly xx

It gets easier, i have been diagnosed 40 years ago in August as a child and I am a stronger person because of T1 diabetes.
