Should I worry about bumped head from fall?

My 9mo is practicing walking and fell backwards and hit his head on my hard wood floor because I failed to catch him properly. He didn't cry but winged for a second but was perfectly happy after a cuddle.

It didn't seem that hard, and I think he sort of landed on his bum first before hitting head on the floor, which I suppose broke the fall.

I've looked up all the signs of concussions in babies and he seems completely fine so far. But I keep thinking that I remember seeing info that if a baby falls from a sofa or bed then you should get them checked out. My baby is well above 99th percentile for height, so is taller than a sofa seat or a bed!

Should I be taking him to A&E just in case? It's an hour's drive away and I don't want to waste their time if I'm being a silly FTM, but equally I'm scared that he might be hurt Sad

God no it’ll be the first of many as he learns to walk I’m afraid. He is fine.

No, unless baby couldn't be calmed, or was sick etc I would just be keeping an eye for the rest of the day.

If he seems sleepy or sick or extra wobbly or unhappy I would get him checked. Otherwise I wouldn’t.

Thanks so much everyone. I'll chill out a bit now! X
