Hey,
Anyone else given their child too much Calpol because they didn't want to wake their sleep deprived partner to check?

I did last week 😬

Any clever ways to communicate the medicine you've given without waking your partner?

Need more sleep 🥴😩

Don't care who's sleep deprived always check how much and when the last dose was given.

mikeweenink · 07/09/2022 19:58

🤣 love your sympathy!
Was hoping for ideas / solutions tbh

WhatsApp group between you both just needs you to type the dose and time

Dutchdad · 07/09/2022 20:00

Ooo, I like the simple ideas, they are often the best - I guess that would show the time too

Dutchdad · 07/09/2022 20:02

Would it work in the day too?
I get loads of messages from my partner 🤣

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 07/09/2022 20:02

We always just wrote it down and kept the paper next to the bottle if a child poorly enough to need more than 1 dose.

Just create a group titled "medication" or something then it's separate from normal every day messages

RidingMyBike · 07/09/2022 20:09

We write it down in a notebook that's somewhere obvious

I know sorry 😂
But if you don't know, wake him up 🙈

abovedecknotbelow · 07/09/2022 21:20

Yeah, no.

Dutchdad · 07/09/2022 21:21

Surely there must be an app?

Hohofortherobbers · 07/09/2022 21:24

Post it note next to the bottle? Is this really a question?

Dutchdad · 07/09/2022 21:25

Yes - it's a question!
Multiple children - same bottle, different bedrooms etc 🤷‍♂️

GoAround · 07/09/2022 21:25

Leave a note on the bottle stating dose and time. That way the other parent won’t be able to give it without seeing it.

Bunglemom · 08/09/2022 14:36

we used a sharpie to mark the doses out and then just tick them off once they've been given...

dont feel bad ive done it before, your only human and mistakes happen x

Dutchdad · 08/09/2022 14:38

It flashed up on my phone and I thought it would read 'we used sharpies to write it on the kids heads' 🤣

Bunglemom · 08/09/2022 14:51

@Dutchdad
To be fair i have been that sleep deprived i wouldnt have put it past me 😂
