Toddler refusing medicine

Hello all!
My 3 year old daughter is poorly and had a high temp. Does anyone have any tips to get a 3 year old to take calpol or ibuprofen? She point blank refused to take anything apart from drink water and I have tried everything. I've put it in squash, tried a spoon, cup with a straw. Even pinning her down she either spits it out or throws up.

If anyone has any tips it would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried paracetamol suppositories?

Suppository definitely a winner if calpol makes them vomit. I used them for years with DD1.
If they are in a more agreeable mood (and it doesn't actually make them sick) I always found handing them the syringe and letting them do it worked well.
Also (only if not vomiting) just hold arms and legs while lying backwards and squirt it into back of cheek a bit at a time until they swallow. Sounds and looks brutal but if they're ill they need the meds so that's just how it is (A&E nurse- have done this many times!)

Doctors kit!

We played with this and used to give teddies pretend medicine.
Worked a treat, teddies turn, now Pineapples turn.

Also as pp, mine was never sick off meds but we would have to pin down and put into his mouth if ABs as he's not a fan.

We found own brand cherry flavour paracetamol that my children liked. Lloyds and Asda used to sell it, but I'm not up to date.

Before that we mixed it with baby pear juice, but if you go that way it can be hard to get a whole dose in.

Hold them down and syringe down the side of the cheek if you have to, but it's horrid.
