Sore ball/scrotum

My son is about 2 and a half but noticed yesterday evening one side of his scrotum was red and sore. I thought it was nappy rash but today, although less red he seems to be really tender there. I put sudacrem on and he just squirms and says ouch. What could it be? I will be calling the doctor first thing

don’t hang about with testicle pain
i would ring 111 tonight and get advice
it could be nothing bur also could be a tortion or something which needs more immediate attention

Oh yes. Don't muck about with that. Get him seen by a professional asap. And let us know how he is.

A&E now. Any chance of a testicular torsion is an emergency.

Thanjs everyone. Well he was checked over and is being sent for an ultrasound scan. He wasn't in much discomfort but it is bigger than the other and a bit abnormal so better to get it thoroughly checked. I'm to go straight to the hospital if he gets a temp though.
