Chicken pox

Hi,
So just discovered a few spots on my son and it looks like possible chicken pox.
This might be a silly question but can my daughter still go to school and can I go to work? My daughter and I have both had chicken pox already.

Yes, you can both carry on as normal.

But your son needs to quarantine- obviously!!

Yes you and your daughter can continue as normal, but I should warn you that if she hasn't had them before it's likely she'll get them within the next 10 to 14 days herself. Kids are contagious two days before they have spots appear and until all spots scab up, which can take between five to seven days.

My DS1 had it two weeks ago and 2 weeks exactly later, my DS2 now has them.

Lots of oat baths for your son in the meantime. Hope he handles it okay and it's not too uncomfortable!

Thanks everyone x
