Leukaemia worry

My 2 and a half year old has had sleep disturbances now for about 2 months.
He has been anaemic twice in the past and has had recurrent infections since he was 1.

He has become terrible in the night, he wakes up crying and will not go back asleep At all. This could be at 2 or 3 in the morning.
Some nights he will complain of stomach ache and some nights he will throw up.
He has lately developed a cough but no fever or anything else.
He has had unusual bruises showing for a few weeks now.
Out of some, I noticed this on his back when he hasn’t had any accidents or injuries (see picture).
he has had on and off petechia, but never big enough to cause too much alarm.

I have a doctors appointment booked for tomorrow as his sleep is now effecting his behaviour in the day and he is excessively tired all the time.

just wondering if anyone has ever seen bruises in this place before, or had any sleep problems at this age , thanks in advance.

From an anxious mum 🥲

Every single one of those symptoms warrants an urgent blood test. You need an emergency referral for paeds phlebotomy. Don't take no for an answer.

There's loads of leukaemia campaigns running right now, they talk about the symptoms - spotleukaemia.org.uk
