My son had a fever 12 days ago that lasted 48 hours, no symptoms but a bit tired with it. He saw a GP fully checked over no reason could be found in ears, chest, urine etc . Temp went up to 39.9 but came down with pain relief, he was a bit off a for a few days after.

12 days later, he has another fever.., it’s not as high at the moment it’s around 37.6-38.

the 12 days between fevers he’s been his usual non stop self, been preschool, been out etc , eating, drinking , toileting fine.

is this just coincidence? Or should I start to worry?
All things are going through my head and Google isn’t my friend!

If you are worried call 111 normally a GP is happy to have a quick check
Young kids pick up all sort so it may be one illness followed by another
Calpol, fluids and cuddles

My friends son was exactly the same as this a couple of months ago, he's fine now, just think it was a virus 🦠

Kids pick up bugs.

Use calpol if he’s uncomfortable with the fever but as long as he’s alert and drinking then I’d ride it out.

obviously you know him best though. If you are concerned give 111 a call

Thank you all,
@Muchtoomuchtodo @StrawberryLace2 @Takeitonthechin

my gut feeling is it’s another bug of some sort. His preschool is just a germ fest and recently younger kids have gone up into his room so even more exposure I guess. He went on Friday so now would be the time it would kick in so to speak.

im just worrying if I’m over looking something more serious as such.

😩
