What is this rash/reddening?

DD age 3 has come up in some kind of rash/skin reddening on her arms and legs. It's not a spotty or bumpy rash - flat skin but a spotty and red effect. It started on her forearms a couple of days ago and is now covering her lower legs and going up her thighs too.

She doesn't have a temperature and is not showing any signs of illness.

I'm guessing it's some kind of allergy/reaction to something she's been in contact with but just wanted to rule out anything serious!

The picture is not clear, I would hazard a guess at urticaria from an allergy.

It’s a large area, is it spreading or anywhere else? Call 11 for advice.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it and check with 111 if it gets worse.

I regret responding. Please don’t take reassurance from me, I am not a doctor and the picture is not great quality. It could be a number of things.

From what you’ve said, this has already got worse. 111 or your GP are the people to ask.

I know this is an old thread, but wondered what it was please?

My 5 year old has it. I took him to the Drs, he diagnosed slapped cheek virus. We had an email at school about it, it's going around. I noticed some other kids at his school with it on their legs. It's on his cheeks, arms & legs.
