3 year old recurrent fevers!

My 3 year old daughter is ill every 3 weeks. At first I thought nothing of it as she is at nursery but recently I have noticed that she has a moderate fever every 3 weeks. I’m starting to get very worried. I am taking her to the doctor but as she is perfectly well in between episodes I’m expecting a battle on my hands to get any diagnosis. Has anyone else had any experience with recurrent fevers? Please help!

My eldest DS had recurring fevers/illness/lethargic every few months when he was around 2, one time when it occurred I realised it happened everytime he ate Wotsits crisps. He was allergic to some orange colourings we decided over the years. He never got those crisps again and never had the same fever illness. So could it be food related?

That’s interesting thank you! I’ll keep an eye on foods

The doctor agreed to give her a blood test- I’m in two minds whether to go ahead and get it or not as I know the process is horrible for little kids - can’t work out if i’m worrying for nothing or not and doctor gave no opinion!
