Toenail surgery

Hi,
my son is having ingrown toenail surgery on both big toes, does anyone know how long recovery takes? It’s the day before school starts back in September. Would he be able to go to school or does he need a few days off?
if anyone has had this done advise would be appreciated!

I've had this done as an adult. I needed 2 days off to keep my feet elevated and safe.

If school are happy for him to sit in a classroom at lunchtime and breaks to keep his feet safe its possible. He just really really doesn't need anyone accidentally standing on his toes.

oh God didn’t think about someone standing on his toes!
