9 month old split gum, teething?

My 9 month old daughter has a cut/split on her gum. I can see she’s obviously teething but didn’t realise the gum had split.. is this normal? How soon before the teeth actually pops up?

It's a tooth coming through. You should be able to feel a hard ridge with your fingernail any time soon. I'm a dental professional.

@Soonberaining so after a 5min battle I was able to put my finger in and I can feel the top of a little teeth! Lol 😂 I find all so fascinating. So I guess it’ll pop up properly in the next few days? Or can this still take a while? Thanks

It takes a few weeks to grow to the final size, but you'll certainly see it peeping through soon.
