My 9 month old daughter has a cut/split on her gum. I can see she’s obviously teething but didn’t realise the gum had split.. is this normal? How soon before the teeth actually pops up?

pics attached, thanks.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It's a tooth coming through. You should be able to feel a hard ridge with your fingernail any time soon. I'm a dental professional.

Should only be a couple more days now!

@Soonberaining so after a 5min battle I was able to put my finger in and I can feel the top of a little teeth! Lol 😂 I find all so fascinating. So I guess it’ll pop up properly in the next few days? Or can this still take a while? Thanks

It takes a few weeks to grow to the final size, but you'll certainly see it peeping through soon.
