My 14 year old has always had yellow teeth it's not due to lack of brushing or that me or her dad have yellow teeth we don't. My eldest daughters teeth looked it for a while but now they are gleaming that hasn't happend with hers if anything they have got worse. The dentist has just prescribed her with colegate duraphat 2800 I'm just wondering if anyone else has been prescribed it for there children an had it helped whiten them atall??? a few mums I've spoken to 1 in piticular reckons it has whitened her daughters teeth and they do look visibly whiter but then I didn't think her daughters teeth were that bad to be honest

Sounds like an issue with her enamel and the dentine is showing through. The higher fluoride is to help with the enamel and help prevent decay.
